A message from Mitch Robinson, this year’s Analecta editor:
Last summer I heard about a charity called, Develop Africa. They have several programs including adopt-a-child, small business loans for budding entrepreneurs, and a basic computer training. There is a program called the Million Books and Dime Project which aims to promote literacy within the youth of Africa (in particular, Sierra Leone, Kenya, and Cameroon).
As I finished editing this year’s ANALECTA, I found that there was one extra page. I contacted Develop Africa and asked if I could include some information about the Million Books and Dime Project to fill up the last page. They readily agreed. Moreover, they asked for a few copies to send out (possibly to libraries within Africa among other places). Pretty cool.
