From the editor of Canvas Magazine, IU’s literary arts journal:
My name is Brandon Haffner and I’m the editor in chief of Canvas
Magazine, a creative arts Union Board publication based in Bloomington
that accepts written and visual art submissions from all IU campuses.
We consider submissions from both graduate and undergraduate students,
and we publish two issues a year (one fall, one spring). Canvas is a
high-aesthetic, perfect-bound magazine that runs about 80-100 pages in
length, contains full-bleed pages of artwork, and distributes anywhere
from 1,000 to 5,000 copies throughout the state.
Last year we had nearly 40% of our submissions come from non-Bloomington campuses, and we’re looking to increase that number to continue to reinforce the philosophy of “One IU.” It would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Editor, Canvas Magazine
